Pi Lab
Edwin
Pi Labs, a startup tech company, wanted to make a toy that was controllable through an app. They partnered with Plow to make Edwin, an app-controlled toy duck. Kids could make Edwin play music through the Edwin app, make various sounds, or vibrate by playing different games and activities in the app.

The Edwin app featured a Story Time mode where kids could pick a story that would read to them while they participated in the game or activity that was on the page. Games and activities included brushing Edwin's Teeth, sorting his laundry by matching colors, and racing other characters by swimming in a pond. In addition to Story Time, a Game Time mode had several color and shape games for kids to play and learn from.

Plow worked with Pi Lab to design the Edwin app. We developed the app with Unity, and created all 2D Illustrations, 3D models, textures, and animations. We also worked with the company developing the Edwin toy hardware functionality to implement a Bluetooth AP. The Edwin app launched for iOS and Android devices.
